DimensionU Educator Portal is designed to assist you with student accounts, creating classes, and accessing reports.
User Management
Adding Users: DimensionU will take care of a creating user accounts for your students and teachers at the beginning of each school year. However, you will undoubtedly require new accounts throughout the year. To add these students and teachers:
- Log on to the Educator Portal at www.dimensionu.com/edportal.
- Select the User Management tab at the top, then under Manage Users select Add User.
- Complete the required fields for the new user as indicated by the asterisk or star (*).
- Click Save and Add.
Creating Classes: The easiest way to monitor your students’ progress with DimensionU Games is to create classes for your students, i.e., Caruso’s 5th per. Alg. Students can be in as many classes as needed. Here are the steps to create a class:
Assigning Students to Classes:
- Log on to the Educator Portal at www.dimensionu.com/edportal
- Select the User Management tab at the top, then under Manage Groups click on Add Class.
- Complete the starred fields.
- If usernames of other Class Admins appear in the Class Admin field make sure you check those to whom you wish to provide access to your groups. Make sure you check your username as well or you will not have access to your classes.
- Click Save and Add.
Assigning Students to Classes:
- After you have created your class(es), return to User Management, then under Manage Users click on Search Users.
- User Type should be Student. Do not adjust the Class field. You can select a Grade if relevant.
- Click Search.
- On the next screen, select a class from the 3rd drop down menu.
- Check the students that you wish to assign to that class.
- Click Assign Class.
Reports
Our suite of reporting tools is designed to improve your understanding of how your students are performing on each of the DimensionU Games. You can gather data on student usage, time on task, and skill proficiency—available for defined groups (classes) as well as for individual students.
Below we summarize the three most commonly used reports: Summary User Score Report, Summary Skill Proficiency Report, and the Individual Skill Proficiency Report.

- Modify the parameters via the drop down menus.
- Click Run Report.
SUMMARY USER SCORE REPORT
Provides summary data of the following for each student within a designated time frame:
- Number of missions played
- Total time played
- Total number of points earned
- Average number of points/mission
- Average number of points/minutes
Use this report to:
- Keep classroom leaderboards up to date
- Motivate students to reach for the next level
- Organize and monitor tournament play
SKILL PROFICIENCY REPORT
Provides a wealth of data on both group and individual skill performance on each skill encountered and answers the following:

- What is the aggregate percent accuracy for my class on each skill encountered in the game?
- What is the percent accuracy for each student on each of the skills encountered in the game?
- How many missions have my students played in which they encountered questions on a particular skill?
- What was the average number of questions for a given skill that each student attempted to answer?
- How many of the students in my group have seen questions involving a particular skill?
- Evaluate progress over time. For example, run separate Skill Proficiency Reports with different date ranges. Comparing the results of these two reports will show how performance on a given skill has changed after instruction, continued game play, or other intervention during the period of time between the two reports.
